Learning in community

We create spaces where children feel they are part of a small and loving community, gain independence, and explore the world around them in ways that matter to them.

Each child is thoughtfully guided to grow skills based on both capacity and interest.

Mornings are spent playing games, exploring skills and interests, and experiencing nature. Afternoons provide a space for children to express themselves in meaningful ways with art and handy work. Our day ends with a gathering to share stories and gratitude for our day.

Children learn practical skills like…

  • gardening

  • harvesting

  • cooking

  • tending for chickens

  • wildlife & ecosystems

  • tool use

  • shelter and fire building

We are inspired to create with…

  • painting

  • embroidery

  • knitting

  • printmaking

  • bookmaking

  • woodworking and carving

Options for Families and Children

Drop-Off or Stay-and-Play

While the day focuses on a unique experience for your child, the program is designed as an experience for your family. You are welcome to drop off your child or attend all (or part) of the day.

Wrap Around Materials

A curated list of books, activities, and experiences will be regularly provided so you can explore what is happening at the farm or studio with your child.

Support at Home

The opportunity to work closely with families on a more individual basis really appeals to us. We recognize YOU are your child’s primary teacher.
