An invitation.
Growth and development are deeply influenced by how we engage in life.
I remember when I learned the word education actually comes from the latin root, "educare", which means to bring out what is within; to nourish.
For me, this shaped my understanding that my role — as parent, as teacher — was to walk beside the child, nurturing their expression and capacity for life.
This has meant a willingness to value sensing and feeling as much as thinking. It’s also meant embracing ‘not-knowing’; being more present in the moment;attuning with nature and finding a more natural rhythm.
Often our time with children is spent crossing off the items on a to-do list, not giving time to what gives us energy; what inspires us and makes life meaningful.
It’s not that we don’t have the list or the busy-ness; it’s about balance — how we engage, what we tend, and how we are present with each other.
What would it be like to align more closely to nature’s rhythm rather than the clock? Giving time and energy to nurture ourselves and the children we guide and love?
